General Rules & Guidelines

Submission of entries implies acceptance of all rules of the Saskatchewan Art Showcase competition. All entries must be accompanied by fully completed entry forms.

The Receiving Committee will be in charge of entries and reserves the right to reject entries not meeting the criteria or not suitable for exhibit. This is a family show and we request that discretion be used when submitting entries. No nudes, please.

Judges are chosen on the basis of knowledge, ability, and experience. The decision of the judges shall be final and prizes will not be given if judges deem insufficient merit.

Method of display is at the discretion of the committee.

All entries must remain on display for the entire exhibition.

All protests must be submitted in writing. Such protests must state the cause of the complaint and must be filed with the Saskatoon Prairieland Park Saskatchewan Art Showcase Committee.

Insurance is the responsibility of the entrant. Security service is provided for exhibits during Exhibition week. Every precaution is taken by the committee regarding handling and displaying to protect all articles. In no case shall Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation, its directors, officers, or employees be held responsible for any loss, damage, or unclaimed entries.

The Saskatchewan Art Showcase Committee and Prairieland Park will have the authority to decide on any questions not specifically covered in these rules.

If a category/class does not have sufficient entries, it may be judged or it may be reclassified – no monetary award will be presented.

Entrants assume full responsibility to obtain model releases and respect copyright laws. The entrant holds Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation Saskatchewan Art Showcase, their employees, and volunteers, harmless from any breach of copyrights in Canada, the USA, and elsewhere.

Permission to reproduce for the Saskatchewan Art Showcase is presumed for all entries.

Judges are invited to submit a piece of work for display purposes only. This is limited to one entry per judge and will be displayed in a non-competitive atmosphere.
