Saskatoon EX Alcohol Policy & Guidelines
Prairieland is committed to providing a safe, fun, and responsible environment for all our guests. In compliance with SLGA regulations, our alcohol service policies are as follows:
- Physical ID Required: To purchase or consume alcohol on-site, guests must be 19 years of age or older and present a valid, physical, government-issued photo ID to a liquor ticket seller. Photographs of IDs on mobile devices or paper photocopies will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- 19+ Wristbands: Upon successful age verification, younger guests will be issued an official 19+ wristband. Wearing this wristband signals to our staff that your ID has been checked, making your subsequent purchases faster and easier. Visibly mature guests may be served without a wristband at the discretion of our Food & Beverage team.
Please note that even if you are wearing a 19+ wristband, liquor ticket sellers, serving staff, and Yellow Shirts may still ask to see your ID if they believe you may be under the legal drinking age. If requested, you must present valid physical government-issued photo ID.
Responsible Service Policy
Prairieland enforces a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking. Please note that our staff and security reserve the right to request physical ID from any guest consuming alcohol on the grounds at any time. Guests who are unable to provide valid physical proof of age upon request will not be served and may be asked to leave the licensed area.
No Sharing with Minors
Purchasing alcohol for, or sharing drinks with, anyone under the legal drinking age is a direct violation of SLGA law. Any guest observed passing alcohol to a minor, or to an unverified guest, will have their beverages confiscated immediately and will be subject to ejection from Prairieland without refund.
Where to Enjoy a Beverage
The Saskatoon EX offers both 19+ and all-ages environments where wristbanded guests can enjoy a drink:
- Kickin’ Horse Saloon (19+ Only): Younger guests must present physical ID at the entrance to gain access.
- SaskTel Grandstand (All-Ages Area): Enjoy a beverage while catching the show!
- The Canopy (All-Ages Area): A relaxed, family-friendly environment where wristbanded adults may responsibly consume alcohol.
*Each Suite Experience Box Seating ticket includes:
- General Admission
- Preferred Parking (subject to availability)
- Guaranteed spot in the assigned Box Suite
- Private Bar Access and the opportunity to pre-order drink tickets ($7 each)

Suite Experience – Box Seating
This year get in on The Suite Experience at the EX! Treat your staff, clients, or friends to an upgraded concert experience in our covered SaskTel Grandstand Box Suites. Boxes are available for 15 or 30 people and include general admission to the EX, access to the Private Bar, the opportunity to pre-order liquor tickets and free parking (subject to availability). Box seats can be purchased for a single show, multiple shows or all week. Boxes are located at the front of the grandstand and tickets include general admission for the EX, preferred parking (if available), access to the Private Bar and a guaranteed spot for this year’s rock’n SaskTel Grandstand show of your choice! Must be 19 years or older to purchase or consume alcohol at the event.
A limited number of seats will be available for purchase in the middle sections of the covered grandstand area just behind the box seating.
- Tickets are available online until 2:00 pm the day of the show and will need to be retained and presented to the ushers at the show to secure the seat.
- Tickets after 2:00 pm the day of the show can be purchased on site at the Premium Ticket booth located near the SaskTel Grandstand subject to availability
- Tickets are sold per seat, per show and do not include general admission to the Saskatoon EX – that must be purchased separately.
