Creative Art Showcase Details
The Saskatchewan Art Showcase continues to grow each year by offering a forum to display works of art. The Saskatchewan Art Showcase is a prime feature of the Saskatoon EX and is viewed by approximately 100,000 people.

Creative Art Rules & Guidelines
Please be familiar with all of our rules and guidelines before entering the competition. They are as follows:
- There is no entry fee.
- Please refer to Saskatchewan Art Showcase General Rules & Guidelines for important rules, entry deadlines, etc.
- No nudes.
- All work must be done by the entrant. If completed by two or more people, it must be described as “collaborative” with the names of participants listed.
- Each entry requires an entry form; all entries must be accompanied by fully completed entry forms.
- Entries will be classified by committee. We encourage you to state your inspiration for the artwork.
- No unfinished, soiled or previously used items will be accepted for competition.
- All framed work must be wired. No strings or saw tooth hangers will be accepted.
- The Receiving Committee reserve the right to reject entries not pertaining to size or subject matter in all classes.
- Original designs or patterned are acceptable.
Creative Art Sections
Beadwork
Any piece affixed to or a stand-alone. This would include, but not limited to, lanyards, moccasins, earrings, etc.
Fiber Art
Includes all fiber works including, but is not limited to, hook rug art, fibre postcards, felted art (2-D, 3-D, wearable), art dolls, soft sculptures and teddy bears.
Glasswork
Any finished glasswork piece must be framed or ready for display/hanging.
Knitting & Crocheting
Any knitted or crochet item. This would include, but not limited to, clothing, blankets, baskets, etc.
Leatherwork
Any wearable or decorative leather piece. This would include, but not limited to, purses, coasters, etc.
Metal
This includes but not limited to sculptures, cutlery, tables, etc.
Quilting
Any quilted item, including wearable art. If completed by two or more people, it must be described as “collaborative” with the names of participants listed. (See Rules & Guidelines above)
Sewing
Any sewn garment or item, including but not limited to, purses, totes, cloth dolls, doll clothing, etc.
Stitchery
Any hand embroidery technique. This will include original design and patterned.
Weaving
Any woven item for clothing, household goods and art. This would include, but not limited to, scarves, curtains, home decor, etc.
Woodworking
Any woodworking projects. This would include, but not limited to, bowls, furniture, instruments, etc.
Miscellaneous
Any item not covered above, including but not limited to, creative recycling, pottery, scrapbooking, papercraft, stamping, etc.
Creative Art Divisions
Division A: Open to all adult levels (18+)
Division B: Children and youth aged 17 years & under
