Admissions Staff - Casual
Saskatoon Prairieland Park is accepting applications from people interested in casual work as Admissions Staff at the Prairieland Park location and at Credit Union Centre. Duties include: token sales, cashier, merchandiser, ticket taker. Shifts are days, evenings and weekends. Although previous admissions experience would be an asset, training will be provided. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age and eligible to work in Canada. Successful applicants will have the ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with guests, be mature and dependable, and have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
Servers – Marquis Downs racing season
The 2008 Marquis Downs live racing season is May to October 4. Saskatoon Prairieland Park is hiring Servers for the Marquis Downs restaurant. Duties include: preparation work, take guests food and beverage orders, serve orders, clear tables, cashier duties. Shifts are Friday and Saturday evenings. Although previous serving experience would be an asset, training will be provided. Successful applicants will be at least 19 years of age, have the ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with guests, be mature and dependable, be physically fit and have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service. Hours of work at Marquis Downs are Friday and Saturday evenings from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. There is potential for additional hours at the Prairieland Park Trade Centre.
Bartenders – Marquis Downs racing season
The 2008 Marquis Downs live racing season is May to October 4. Saskatoon Prairieland Park is hiring Bartenders for the Marquis Downs restaurant. Duties include: mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and to maintain inventory and control over bar stock, cashier duties. Previous experience as a Bartender is required. Successful applicants will be at least 19 years of age, have the ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with guests, be mature and dependable, be physically fit, and have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service. Hours of work at Marquis Downs are Friday and Saturday evenings from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m... There is potential for additional hours and for ongoing part-time work at the Prairieland Park Trade Centre.
Concessions Workers – Marquis Downs racing season
The 2008 Marquis Downs live racing season is May to October 4. Saskatoon Prairieland Park is hiring Concessions Workers for Marquis Downs. Duties include: take guests food and beverage orders, serve orders, cashier duties, stock shelves and coolers, and general cleaning. Shifts are Friday and Saturday evenings, approximately 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Although previous cashier experience would be an asset, training will be provided. Successful applicants have the ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with guests, be mature and dependable, are physically fit and have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service. There is potential for additional hours of work at the Prairieland Park Trade Centre.
Pari-mutuel Clerks – Marquis Downs racing season
Saskatoon Prairieland Park, Marquis Downs, is now hiring Pari-mutuel Clerks for the 2008 live racing season. Hours of work are Friday and Saturday evenings (6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) from May 23 to September 6. Applicants must be 19 years of age or older and be eligible for licensing by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Association. If you are friendly, outgoing and have a strong orientation to customer service you will enjoy this opportunity. Cash handling experience would be an asset. Wage is $10.00/hour.
Security Staff – Cabaret/Event Security - Casual
Saskatoon Prairieland Park is hiring casual Security Staff for cabaret and event security. The successful applicants must be at least 19 years of age, reliable, physically fit, have sound decision making skills, good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Previous experience or education in the area of security or policing would be an asset. Hours of work are primarily evenings and weekends, with some day shifts available. Starting wage is $11.00/hour.
Courtesy Shuttle Bus Drivers - Casual
Saskatoon Prairieland Park is hiring casual Courtesy Shuttle Bus Drivers for the parking lot shuttle bus services provided at some Prairieland Park events. The successful applicants will have a minimum of a Class 4 Saskatchewan driver’s license. Preference will be given to those individuals with Class 2 and Class 1A driver’s licenses. Applicants must be reliable, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Hours of work vary - days, evenings and weekends and are event driven and flexible. This is an excellent opportunity for a retired bus driver or a retired 1A licensed driver or an experienced school bus driver holding a Class 2 or Class 4 driver’s license or a Class 1A driver looking for a few extra hours of work. Rate of pay is $12.00 per hour.
