AG-EXperience at the Saskatoon EX
In 2008 Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation, in partnership with leading industry stakeholders, developed an exhibit that features a celebration of Saskatchewan agriculture called AG-EXperience. This multifaceted exhibit was a new feature at the Saskatoon EX, Saskatoon’s summer fair, which has an annual attendance of more than 200,000.
The initial exhibit consisted of four interactive display units focusing on the Pork, Dairy, Beef and Poultry industries. Phase 2 of the project focuses on the many types of Crops grown in Saskatchewan and the impact of that part of the agriculture industry on our daily lives.
Phase 3 of AG-EXperience encompasses Saskatchewan’s diverse agriculture industry featuring the bison and elk industries.
In 2008, AG-EXperience won 2 National Awards (Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions) and 2 International Awards (International Association of Fairs and Exhibitions) for agriculture education and awareness.
AG-EXperience will again be a feature of the Saskatoon Ex, August 9 – 14, 2011. We will continue to work closely with industry to ensure that positive, informative, and interesting information is presented to our fair-goers.
